The GOP has become an insurgent outlier in American politics. It is ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition.

This article is arguing this, right when the Democratic Party is openly applauding the “burn down the city” Occupy Movement? Let’s be real, Democrat are liberal on economic issues and liberal on social issues, where Republicans are occupied with a good amount of mutts that are conservative on economics but liberal on social issues. You think we who believe in God are crazy but those who believe the GOP is the devil are by default making the Democratic Party their pious God.

God bless? The concept of “god,” the virgin birth and resurrection are the stuff of children’s stories. No, you’re just projecting your shortcomings onto others. That especially applies to your “civility” comment. Scientific studies have shown that conservatives have larger amygdalae than normal people, which is the part of the brain responsible for emotions. You right-wingers think with your emotions, and if someone presents information contrary to what you believe, rather than re-evaluating your beliefs, you get angry. All one needs to do is watch Fox “news” for a few minutes to see emotional reasoning at work.

You’re such a coward, you won’t even post logged in. And liberals do use emotions, but in a different way. We want to make our country better and to make people feel bad about causing harm to the environment, the economy, education, our government, and our country in general. Conservatives get emotional when someone criticizes their leaders because they favor authoritarian rule, which has been proven with scientific studies, also. And evolution is just too hard for right-wingers to understand.
