Trump’s America is fraught with bankruptcies!

by Ben Hoffman

Bankruptcies continue to pile up in the retail industry.

More than 300 retailers have filed for bankruptcy so far this year, according to data from BankruptcyData.com. That’s up 31% from the same time last year. Most of those filings were for small companies — the proverbial Mom & Pop store with a single location. But there are also plenty of household names on the list.

Most of these stores are suffering from the same thing: A shift away from traditional storefronts to online shopping.

James Hodgkinson: American Hero

by Ben Hoffman

JamesHodgkinson.jpg

Yes, you heard that right; James Hodgkinson is an American hero.

The GOP has been destroying America for over 100 years and especially since Reagan. With Trump at the helm, our country is on the verge of collapse. People need to take action. While I don’t condone this kind of violence, no one can say that Republicans didn’t have it coming.

They’re taking away healthcare for millions, destroying the environment, and got us into wars for profit.

Look at the harm including deaths they caused in Flint, Michigan, just to help corporations make money.

They’re almost solely responsible for the $20 trillion national debt.

The Trump administration’s ties to Russia are treasonous.

Republicans are destroying everything that makes America America.

James Hodgkinson fought back much the way resistance fighters in Nazi Germany fought back. Perhaps Republicans will start thinking about representing the American people instead of just big-money donors.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A 5-year-old boy shot and critically injured his 6-year-old brother at their home in east Harris County, deputies said Monday.

Relatives say the young brothers loved to play cops and robbers.

“He may have picked up the wrong weapon thinking that it was a toy,” said Thomas Gray, an uncle. “But this weapon was not a toy and it was a real gun and he actually pointed it at my other nephew and fired it.”

Guess they had a bunch of guns laying around and the boy accidentally picked it up and shot his brother. It could have happened to anyone!

by Ben Hoffman

KENTUCKY-1-articleLarge
The boy received a .22 caliber rifle for his birthday and shot his sister, Caroline Sparks, while playing with the gun.

“It was God’s will. It was her time to go, I guess,” the grandmother told WLEX. “I just know she’s in heaven right now and I know she’s in good hands with the Lord.”

Apparently, God wanted the little girl dead. What an ass.

Fascism at work: Rick Perry threatens Grand Jury

by Ben Hoffman

Texas Governor Rick Perry seems to be threatening to retaliate against grand jurors who indicted him for felony abuse-of-office and is misusing rules to try to toss out the charges before trial, a special prosecutor alleged.

“The defendant’s own words have instilled a concern for all persons who participated in the grand jury investigation,” Michael McCrum, Perry’s special prosecutor, said in a filing made public today, asking a state judge to deny the governor’s request for grand jury transcripts.

If you vote Republican, you’re partially responsible for the Iraq war disaster

by Ben Hoffman

Conservatives have been trying to blame the Iraq war disaster on Obama claiming Republicans “had it won,” but “Obama lost it.” They blame it on Hillary Clinton for voting for the Iraq war resolution. They even justify the disaster by claiming that “Bush found WMDs in Iraq.” He did, but those WMDs were sold to Hussein by Reagan and Bush, Sr, and they were all dismantled and disabled.

You can’t be a conservative without being willing to lie for the Republican party simply because you cannot defend Republican policies without lying.

Here’s the latest news about the Iraq war disaster…

Islamic State group extremists lined up and shot dead at least 50 tribesmen and women in Iraq’s Anbar province, officials said Saturday, the latest mass killing committed by the group.

The shooting happened late Friday in the village of Ras al-Maa, north of the provincial capital of Ramadi, Anbar councilman Faleh al-Issawi said.

Militants accused the men and women of the Al Bu Nimr tribe of retaliating against them after being displaced from their homes when the group seized the Anbar town of Hit last month, al-Issawi said.

“These killings are taking place almost on a daily basis now in the areas under the control of the Islamic State group and they will continue unless this terrorist group is stopped,” al-Issawi told The Associated Press.

An official in the Anbar governor’s office confirmed the death toll. He spoke on condition of anonymity as he is not authorized to brief journalists.

On Thursday, authorities found the bodies of 48 Sunni tribesmen killed by the Islamic State group in Anbar.

Tim Cook, Apple’s chief executive, said he was “proud to be gay” in an essay published early Thursday, becoming by far the most prominent executive of a public company to come out.

“Let me be clear: I’m proud to be gay, and I consider being gay among the greatest gifts God has given me,” Mr. Cook wrote in the essay, published by Bloomberg Businessweek.

Mr. Cook, 53, has never spoken publicly about his sexual orientation in the many years he has worked in the spotlight at Apple.

In his essay, Mr. Cook also noted that Cory Gardner is a Nazi, and that it’s very dangerous for our country if Nazis gain power.

by Ben Hoffman

Broken commandments

(Reuters) – A man was taken into custody on Friday on suspicion of knocking over a Ten Commandments monument with a car on the grounds of the Oklahoma statehouse and then fleeing the scene, law enforcement officials said on Friday.

The U.S. Secret Service detained the man, who has not been identified, after he was alleged to have made threatening statements at a federal building in Oklahoma City. The man told agents he urinated on the monument and ran it over with a car, said David Allison, the assistant special agent in charge.

The Ten Commandments Monument violates the 1st Amendment because it is on public land, which is paid for by taxpayers. By destroying the monument, the man stopped the perpetration of a crime and is a hero.

Hero who stopped Marysville-Pilchuck High School shooter was first year teacher Megan Silberberger

by Ben Hoffman

Megan Silberberger

Hero Teacher Megan Silberberger

A shooting at Marysville-Pilchuck High School Friday afternoon left one victim and the gunman himself dead. Four other victims were hospitalized with gunshot wounds.
The student shooter was allegedly motivated by a spoiled romance.

A student who witness the event said the gunshots followed a verbal altercation.

“It started off with an argument, but then I looked back and there was just gunshots and just people falling down,” Cervantes recalled. And immediately after the gunshots, the (woman) intervened, he said.

“She heard the gunshots first and she came in running through the door, right next to it,” he recalled.
Cervantes said there was no prolonged struggle between Silberberger and the gunman.

“It wasn’t (a) wrestle. She just grabbed his arm, and it lasted like two seconds, and I heard another shot.”
Cervantes said it was the shot that killed the gunman with his own weapon.

Randy Davis, the president of the Marysville Education Association, said he taught at the school for 20 years and knows Silberberger as someone who student-taught last year and just started her first semester as a social studies teacher.

Davis described Silberberger as “Your classic first-year teacher with high enthusiasm, a lot of passion for what she does.”
