Another Anti-Government Christian Group Issues Threats

by Ben Hoffman

WASHINGTON — The FBI is warning police across the country that an anti-government group’s call to remove governors from office could provoke violence by others.

A group that calls itself the Guardians of the free Republics wants to “restore America” by peacefully dismantling parts of the government, according to its Web site.

As of Wednesday, more than 30 governors had received letters saying if they don’t leave office within three days they will be removed, according to an internal intelligence note by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security. The note was obtained by The Associated Press.

Investigators do not see threats of violence in the group’s message, but fear the broad call for removing top state officials could lead others to act out violently.

Governors whose offices reported receiving the letters included Jennifer Granholm of Michigan, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Chet Culver of Iowa and Jim Gibbons of Nevada.

Last week the FBI raided another Christian extremist group and arrested 9 militia members. Pedophile priests have been protected by the Vatican.

We live in interesting times.

  1. I’m curious how long it will take for some major media outlet to actually call these people terrorists. It seems like they have been doing backflips to avoid using that particular terminology.

It seems to be a fairly accurate term to describe the activities of said groups.

I wonder if they were not white radical christians would the media treatment they are receiving be different.

    • If it was ACORN acting like that, we’d never hear the end of it. The evening news reporting on the arrest of the 9 militia members last week and they didn’t even mention that it was a Christian militia. Immediately following that story was a story about two Christians who did something over in the Middle East.

  2. Mr. Hoffman,

Some microscopic fringe groups who call themselves Christians make anarchist threats to the government and you try to use it to smear all Christians .

Now let us compare that to your folks at ACORN . First of all no legitimate Christian groups have come to the defense of these militias, have they ? ACORN, besides the criminal stuff on the video, is about gaining access to Government money, so it can wield political power, in order to buy more political power . Stop me, if I fail to be amazingly accurate .

Now you are a legitimate advocate for your political philosophy, yes ? You have come to the defense of ACORN .

Point being, these anarchist so called Christian groups have zero support with any real Christian or Conservative establishments . ACORN on the other hand are the shock troops for the Democratic Party . Well them and SEIU .

  3. Mr. Hoffman,

What does Jewish look like ? Does a Jew look like Edward G. Robinson ? Now there was a piece of strange casting . What does Egyptian look like, Yul Brynner ?

When Charleton Heston parted the Red Sea, and it really did happen cause I seen it in the movie, why didn’t the people pick up all the fish ?

    • Actually, Edward G. Robinson was Jewish (born Emanuel Goldenberg), but he was an Ashkenazic Jew and probably did not closely resemble the ancient Israelites.

Here is an artist rendering from the 3rd century of the anointment of David:

So, the ancient Israelites probably more closely resembled this guy:

Jesus, on the other hand, was an outcast from the Jews. This is what he probably looked like:

  4. Sorry to say, but the article said nothing about this group being ‘Christian’.

    • Steve,

” Sorry to say, but the article said nothing about this group being ‘Christian’. ”

If you are going to argue facts, I am leaving . Mr. Hoffman had a perfectly good farce going here and you had to intrude with the truth .

      • I know; forgive me.
And Ben … I noticed the media is really bent on using the term “Christian” when referring to what Ms. Napolitano calls ‘home grown terrorists’; while at the same time radical Muslim groups are getting a pass as being ‘generic’.
It’s so far off base to associate Christianity with terrorists it’s not even funny. I think it’s being done as an intentional misdirection.
Perhaps not all Muslims are terrorists … but for sure nearly all terrorists are Muslim.
Regardless, lets not forget who the enemy is …

      • Perhaps not all Muslims are terrorists … but for sure nearly all terrorists are Muslim.

        Awesome.

      • [Perhaps not all Muslims are terrorists … but for sure nearly all terrorists are Muslim.]

Nearly all domestic terrorists are Christians.

    • [Sorry to say, but the article said nothing about this group being ‘Christian’.]

True, but their website implies it:

  5. Mr. Hoffman,

So Marty Feldman looked like Jesus ? My whole life I believed Jesus looked like Jeffrey Hunter and John the Baptist was a dead ringer for Robert Ryan .

Anyway with your example of Emanuel Goldenberg, I bet there were a lot of Jews in those old movies who did not look like your idea of Jewish . You were Jewish weren’t you ? Do you look Jewish ?

  6. [I bet there were a lot of Jews in those old movies who did not look like your idea of Jewish . You were Jewish weren’t you ? Do you look Jewish ?]

I was just saying that the Jews of antiquity would have looked similar to Sephardic Jews of today. As far as me looking Jewish, probably.

  7. You expect me to believe these pale skin people was in the desert for a 100 years!
