Republican Partisan Politics Has No Limits

The world is facing an epidemic with the swine flu — possibly a pandemic, but that’s not a good enough reason to put party partisanship aside and do what’s good for the nation. No, they have their agenda and banning abortion is at the top of the list. Health and Human Services secretary nominee Kathleen Sebelius is pro-choice — thus, republicans have been filibustering her nomination. Tomorrow, there’s going to be a vote and her confirmation will require 60 votes. Word has it that a few republicans are putting country first and will vote with the democrats. We’ll just have to wait and see.
