  1. What do the numbers $369,000, $632,233, and $1.2 million have in common? those are the salaries received by top-ranking executives of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, PBS, and NPR in 2009.
But They aren’t “evil” “rich” people. 🙂

Meanwhile, highly successful, brand-name public programs like Sesame Street make millions on their own. “Sesame Street,” for example, made more than $211 million from toy and consumer product sales from 2003-2006.
Sesame Workshop President and CEO Gary Knell received $956,513 in compensation in 2008. With earnings like that, Big Bird doesn’t need the taxpayers.

  2. Wall Street Journal.
Sorry, the Huffington Post and Media Matters were busy…

    • Well, if you had read the article you would have learned that government grants make up just 10% of Sesame Street’s budget. That program is probably the most lucrative of the PBS shows. Other shows such as The News Hour can’t survive without government funding.

  3. So getting rid of public funding will not really hurt them.

    • Yeah, you hate the News Hour because they don’t spin the news the right. And some of the Frontline episodes make conservatives look bad. We can’t have the truth if it doesn’t fit the conservative narrative.

  4. One second it’s big bird, the next sesame street, now the news hour.
Gee, have you gone all Charlie Sheen on us?

As for you generalized insult: Watch Fox News. They don’t slant the spin to the left. And sometime they make Liberal look bad. You can’t have the truth if it doesn’t fit the Liberal progressive socialist narrative.

    🙂

  5. Thank you for conceding.
