Republican Senator Tells Obama Not To Take Our Country’s Problems So Seriously

by Ben Hoffman

President Barack Obama battled with Senate Republicans in a tense closed-door meeting Tuesday, facing tough criticism from his GOP adversaries — including John McCain — on issues ranging from health care to border security.

“The more he talked, the more he got upset,” Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) said. “He needs to take a valium before he comes in and talks to Republicans and just calm down, and don’t take anything so seriously. If you disagree with someone, it doesn’t mean you’re attacking their motives — and he takes it that way and tends then to lecture and then gets upset.”

The White House said that Obama made a plea for bipartisanship on some of the country’s most pressing issues — and he urged Republicans to stand up to their base and compromise with the Democratic Party.

  1. Mr. Hoffman,

So tell me. Since the Obama Administration whined and cried and slandered the people of the Great State of Arizona over immigration, why is President Obama now sending 1200 National Guard Troops to the border.

Is Obama ready to apologize to Arizonans? If you aren’t, at least tell your hero that he needs about 6,000 more.

    • [why is President Obama now sending 1200 National Guard Troops to the border.]

He determined that right-wing Arizonans were a threat to our union and the troops are going to herd them into concentration camps where they can be shot like diseased cattle.

  2. As always the title of your post is disingenous and very misleading. The Republican didn’t tell Mr. Obama not to take “our country’s problems so seriously”. He said,

“If you disagree with someone, it doesn’t mean you’re attacking their motives — and he takes it that way and tends then to lecture and then gets upset.”

You tend to cut off the point of the senator’s comment to suit what you wanted to say; which is a false accusation against the senator. The only thing Obama was taking seriously was the fact these guys weren’t agreeing with him. Poor Obama, he just can’t understand why everyone doesn’t think he’s as smart as he does.

  3. Mr. Hoffman,

It’s amazing how when you lefties get power, suddenly anyone who slightly disagrees with you is threatened with concentration camps and murder.

What happened to the post partisan Obama who was going to bring Republicans and Democrats together? Your hero sounds more like Hugo Chavez everyday.

” he urged Republicans to stand up to their base and compromise with the Democratic Party. ”

After the way he lied about Republicans and used every sleazy trick to get his Socialist agenda passed, now this clown is dictating to Republicans. This is not how a great leader like Reagan or at least a competent leader like Clinton works with the opposition party.

” Yeah, after all, it’s just politics. It’s not like the survival of our country is at stake or anything. ”

A war is the survival of the Country. Everything else is not . On the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan Republicans have supported Obama a hell of a lot more than Democrats ever supported Bush. Go ahead and dispute that fact!!!!
