Sarah Palin: Anti-American, But Business Savvy

by Ben Hoffman

Sarah Palin saw that she could cash in on her celebrity after the 2008 election by resigning from governorship and going out on a speaking tour, among other things. Sure, she was elected to serve the state of Alaska, and forcing an extra election, costing the state quite a bit of money, but money is the right-wing American way. Anything for a buck.

As governor, Palin was paid a measly $125k a year where she had to do actual work, make (bad) decisions, and deal with criticism.

As a right-wing celebrity, she’s “earned” about $12 million since July! There’s good money in telling the lies right-wingers want to hear. Sean Hannity makes about $20 million a year and Glenn Beck makes about the same.

Like Bush, Palin, Hannity, and Beck are just regular people to right-wingers and that makes the ignorant masses feel good. And isn’t that what’s really important?

  1. Mr. Hoffman,

You do realize that to attack Governor Palin is to wave a red flag in front of me .

You left out a rather minor fact . That as of last July Governor Palin faced about $500,000 in legal fees, thanks to bogus lawsuits brought by Democratic Party lawyers or their surrogates .

When did Republicans ever do that to a former opponent ? Especially one they defeated . Like, uh never .

    • [That as of last July Governor Palin faced about $500,000 in legal fees, thanks to bogus lawsuits brought by Democratic Party lawyers or their surrogates .]

That’s a lie. The investigations were called for by both Democrats and Republicans.

[When did Republicans ever do that to a former opponent ? Especially one they defeated . Like, uh never .]

Like, uh, remember all the investigations into Bill Clinton’s personal life?

  2. Mr. Hoffman,

” Like, uh, remember all the investigations into Bill Clinton’s personal life? ”

Clinton was still President and committed perjury and committed acts with an intern in the White House . You are going to tell me that going after Palin was the same thing ?? All of the lawsuits against Palin were either bogus or totally trivial .

The Republicans that sided with Democrats were those that Palin had gone after previously. Unlike Democrats she was not afraid to go after her own party members when they were crooked or not doing their jobs . When did a Democrat go after a Democrat except to strong arm them in to voting for something corrupt ?

Unlike President Clinton who had the power of the White House legal eagles to save him, Governor Sarah Palin was left pretty much on her own by the State of Alaska .

  3. Mr. Hoffman,

” As governor, Palin was paid a measly $125k a year where she had to do actual work, make (bad) decisions, and deal with criticism. ”

Name the bad decisions Governor Palin made . I can name plenty that President Obama made .

  4. Mr. Hoffman,

I will give you a half credit for that one . Governor Palin was for it and later against it . But that really was not her ” decision “. Senator Stevens got that project for Alaska and as Governor, Palin supported it .

You really have to have more than that .

  5. Mr. Hoffman,

” She your goddess, not mine. ”

Good line . I would say that my side has a more ” attractive ” female dugout than you do .

I think both Parties should put up all Woman Presidential tickets in 2012 . A Palin-Bachman ticket against a Clinton-Pelosi ticket .

You got to admit, it would be fun and historic .

    • Palin is attractive until she’s opens her mouth. A Palin-Bachman ticket would be the wackiest ticket possible and a Clinton-Pelosi ticket would be the most likely to be assassinated ticket.

  6. Mr. Hoffman,

” Palin is attractive until she’s opens her mouth ”

Do you just hate her Alaskan accent or is it the content of what she says ? Or is it her middle American Values ?

” A Palin-Bachman ticket would be the wackiest ticket possible ” I’m betting that these two women could control their urge to Spend my tax dollars, better than Obama and Biden have done . Give them a Republican Congress and watch the deficit magically ‘ disappear’ .

” a Clinton-Pelosi ticket would be the most likely to be assassinated ticket. ”

You must know that your board gets monitored by Obama’s FBI . Even joking about that could get you a visit or an audit . I like to think of a Clinton-Pelosi pairing as the one that reminds most men of their ex-wives ticket. In that vein, two people who would run us in to bankruptcy even faster than Barak and old Joe .

  7. Mr. Hoffman,

” What do you consider middle America? ”

Me! God fearing, personal responsibility, you can rise in America through hard work and sacrifice, America owes you an opportunity not a guarantee that you will have a good life . The Government is not your daddy , neither is Barak Obama . Nancy Pelosi is your evil Stepmother .

    • [God fearing,]
      Fear of the unknown.

      [personal responsibility]
A good sound bite, but we need protection from irresponsible people.

[you can rise in America through hard work and sacrifice]
Those days are gone. You need a college education any more.

[America owes you an opportunity not a guarantee that you will have a good life]
Many of the opportunities have left America due to globalization.

[The Government is not your daddy]
True. The government is supposed to work for us to provide services for the commons.

I don’t think you’re “middle America.” You’re part of the radical fringe, albeit we have a big fringe element here.
