This morning, Boston.com posted an article revealing the birth rates amongst teens aged 15-19 in all 50 states. And, to my utter surprise, Mississippi was at the top of the list with 55 births for every 1000 girls aged 15-19. Rounding off the top 5 were: New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma with birth rates all above 50 (really 5% of all teenage girls).
